Until I found myself increasingly interested in making candles at home, I really I had no idea there were so many choices of materials. Paraffin and beeswax are two common waxes used in candle making business, and candles made at home ... but an option I had not known before was using "gel wax."

Once I learned about gel candles, I began to account of what are becoming popular. Gel candles are usually poured in glass containers. Are candles that will be in the store that are slightly transparent, and very often have "embedded". Players are the decorative elements, such as dried flowers, glitter, shells, etc. .. When you burn these candles, the transparent nature of them makes the whole candle to shine, an aspect of them that appeals to many people. Another aspect of the gel candle is burning twice as long as the candles made of wax or paraffin.

Once I decided I was ready to start making gel candles, I discovered that not only was a huge amount of fun, but are actually a little easier to make regular wax candles. One of the most important ingredients is of course the wax gel. Very often, the choices can be found at local craft store will not be of the highest quality. If you are going to be doing a lot of gel candles, or if you are planning to turn the hobby of making gel candles in a race ... it would be advisable to invest in quality materials can be found online. The choice of container for gel candle is another important step. Common sense dictates that you should not use plastic containers or containers made of other materials that can burn. Again, note the glass containers, the thicker glass is better to use, much safer. If the glass is very thin, is too fragile and can break when the candle burns. For containers, usually best to the local store, and transport of heavy materials can be quite expensive. Second-hand stores are down or a great place to hunt for bargains only containers but also interesting and modern.

The following important part of making gel candle is the wick. There are many different strands in the market, and make sure you get the wicks that are made specifically for candle gel. If you are making large candles in size, may consider the option of using several wicks. You'll place the wick in the bottom of the container. You can do this using melted wax or hot glue. If you go with the hot glue, be careful not to use too much, because the sailing can be cloudy.

Perfumes and players ... the fun part! The only other things to consider is what the fragrance you want and decorative players to use. This is when you can be creative and let your own personal style shine through ... so to speak. There are some fragrances that you can buy that are specifically used for the manufacture of candles, but can also use essential oils from flowers and herbs, or herbs and extracts. And when it comes to players, let your creative spirit take over. End have a work of art that fills his house with the aroma room, the warmth and softness. And if you're like me, starting with ... and find that it is not enough. You can find a new hobby, or a new business!
