The Scented Candles in Your Home is Harmful or No?

Smell? Your lust and passion? Not too sure about this question. There not too many things scent can signify other then the memories associated with them.Many people don't use scented candles as they very chemical sensitive. Those synthetic smells are made of chemicals and I don't know for sure but my guess is that if you check out the ingredients you may find that some of those chemicals that make the smells are very toxic for people.

But I love scented candles and my favorite are the Trapp candles, and I love the orange-vanilla ones.I have been buying for about 4 years. They usually cost about $17 each because they burn for such a long time. It give me a very relaxed feeling when I light them. All of mine are very clean smelling like Vanilla or Verbena. I like the effect, but most of them have a chemically note to the scent that makes my nose crawl....

Also I know from experience that some candles turn walls black and that the most candles can cause serious health problems. The chief culprits are candles with wicks made with metal cores.

Not all candles - or even all scented candles - cause hazardous pollution. But since labels won't tell which ones are safe, the candle experts give this advice.

Use only the natural vegetable waxes and beeswax. The natural vegetable waxes and beeswax are definitely better than parrafin. Parrafin candles are not good for you and for me. Most candles you can get at the grocery, drugstore etc are all made with parrafin and most have lead wicks.

If you really want the best for yourself and everyone in your home, spend a little more on soy or beeswax candles. They are cleaner burning. Paraffin, which is what most candles are made from, is petroleum based and much more polluting to your indoor environment. Also, many paraffin candles have metal (sometimes containing lead!) in the wick, which also gets into the air and poses a hazard. Soy and beeswax candles typically use natural cotton wicks. Look also for those with essential oil based fragrances.Patchouli, Sandalwood, Oakmoss, Bay, Cypress, Ginger, Black Pepper, Vanilla, Vetiver, and the citrus oils are oils that are the most strongly favored by people.

There are many sources on the web, and this is also what I do for a living! Candles by Aroma Naturals and Ergo may be the best I've ever found. Island Soap Company also has unbelievably great beeswax candles with terrific Hawaiian scents. Yankee Candle  - smells really good. The raspberry cream one is divine. As is the autumn leaves, but they're quite wintery scents.

A lovely scent for the new season would be summer fresh - it's green, smells so clean and almost watermelony without being clinical. The honeysuckle is great - smells EXACTLY like honeysuckle and it's not as strong as the raspberry etc.

Scented candles are great! Don't buy anything made in China as we just don't know what is put in there! Buy brands from good candle makers, this way, you can be sure of quality from wax, wick and perfume.

Trim your wicks too. This will keep them from throwing smoke into the air! Good luck! I hope you have fun! Enjoy your candles!
