People’s interest in candle making has vastly increased in the past few years. Because of this, the demands for the different candle making ingredients like candle making wax also increased. Together with the demand increase is the need for more variety to suit each candle maker’s needs. There are different kinds of candle making wax now available on the market and these will be discussed in this article.

Paraffin Candle Wax

This is the most popular type of candle making wax that is used in most candles. Paraffin is a petroleum based candle making wax. This type is cheaper than other kinds of candle making wax and is readily available. It is available in either chunks or powder form. You have the option to buy one that is already colored or buy an uncolored candle making wax with a matching candle color of your choice.

Soy Candle Wax

Soy candle wax can be considered as one of the newest candle making wax out there. To come up with this type of wax, soybeans need to be hydrogenated. Its popularity can be attributed to the fact that it is a renewable resource and biodegradable as well, making it ecology-friendly.

Candle Beeswax
